Viking 42 Enclosure

This customer called saying that he really wanted an enclosure but was told it was not possible unless he paid for a new frame. We took it upon ourselves to work around what he currently had and make it work for him. We noticed that the bimini was not made with an enclosure in mind. Also, the distance from the edge of the bimini to the top edge of the venturi was very far which could potentially cause the window to have a droop towards the front. To counteract that, we advised the customer to add a heavy duty TrackRail to the venturi so the windows can be held down from there rather than snaps and would look a lot cleaner. On the sides we were able to install snaps as there isn't much resistance there but on the back was a different story. Because the arch that held the radar was there, we had to work around that to ensure the flybridge was completely enclosed and not have any openings. We also added a TrackRail on the top and under side of the arch to close the seal and have windows on the back.
When the project was completed the customer was 100% satisfied and amazed that the work was able to be done in a timely manner. We were glad we could make the enclosure the customer had wanted!
